A financier invests in a developer
French investor Omnes acquires a majority stake in Irish solar systems developer Power Capital Renewable Energy (PCRE). Its aim is to provide European renewable energy developers with growth capital to help them become independent power producers. To this end, the Capenergie4 fund has raised more than €500m from French and European institutional investors.
Thus financially supported, PCRE has just obtained a feed-in tariff for 27 MW, divided into four projects. It has 200 MW ready to build and is targeting a PV development and construction target of 500 MW in Ireland.
