Enerplan has carried out several actions to rehabilitate the French solar thermal industry
Enerplan has carried out several actions to rehabilitate French solar thermal energy. It has proved that an erroneous parameterization in the calculation engine of the RT 2012 was considerably penalizing solar thermal. It proved that the RT 2012 allowed over-consumption of energy in housing, and that collective solar thermal was more efficient than other solutions (gas + biomass boiler or thermodynamic or even solar heat pump). Enerplan concludes that "it is indeed a more demanding regulation that will be decisive in order to raise solar heat as an optimal solution".
