SolarPower Europe and Solar Energy UK have launched SSI (Solar Stewardship Initiative)
The trade associations SolarPower Europe and Solar Energy UK have launched the Solar Stewardship Initiative (SSI). The aim of the plan is to guarantee transparency and responsible production.

One of the main instruments of the initiative is the SSI Code, a corporate sustainability standard to be tested at several sites in October 2022 and then opened for public consultation in spring 2023. Once consultation and publication of the SSI Code is complete, applications for verification assessments will be accepted, with full roll-out of the SSI assurance system planned for December 2023.
This initiative has been endorsed by over 50 companies.
