SER polls the French to support its claim

The Syndicat des Energies Renouvelables commissioned a survey of 1,174 people by Harris Interactive to support its demand that the terms of the contracts signed with the public authorities be maintained before 2011.

Other results of the survey :

92% of the population is in favour of the development of solar energy, evenly across all the categories questioned.

89% of them consider that the public authorities should do more to encourage the development of solar energy in France.

88% believe that solar energy increases energy independence, combats climate change and boosts regional dynamism.

71% (30% certainly yes, 41% probably yes) of French people would like to equip their home with a solar installation to cover their own energy consumption.

62% (20% certainly yes, 42% probably yes) would agree to invest via a participatory financing mechanism in a solar installation located in their department or municipality.

Editor's note Polls are the best way to get the result you want. Proof of this is that the French invest very little in a solar installation at home, although more than two thirds of them respond positively.

As for the retroactivity of the State's commitments, they answer this question without knowing. It is easier to go in the direction of a pollster than to express opposition.
