New suggestion: producing green hydrogen in North Africa
Why not produce green hydrogen in North Africa and then import it into Italy? This would make an economy of
15 % on the cost and would allow Italy to be a crossing point between Africa and Europe. Hydrogen could account for 23% of Italy's energy demand by 2050, enabling the country to reduce its emissions by 28%.

Editor's note There is a real focus on hydrogen, which is believed to be abundant, cheap and under control over the next few years. Everyone is throwing out their ideas, believing they have found a satisfactory formula. Just one thing, we don't yet know how to produce hydrogen in a profitable and abundant way!
