Scatec wants to industrialise PV installations in Africa
Norwegian developer Scatec Solar, already a specialist in emerging countries, wants to make a name for itself in Africa by providing electricity at half the cost of diesel. To do this, it has launched a leasing formula to stimulate installations between 1 and 25 megawatts over a ten-year period. This corresponds to the need of a number of companies or even utilities that do not want to own assets.
