Rationing of electricity in Sichuan province (central China)

The drought in China has led to electricity rationing in Sichuan province (central China) since 18 August.

JinkoSolar was forced to reduce its production,

without specifying what type of production will be affected. Of course, the company says it "seeks to minimise the negative impact of electricity rationing but says it cannot assess the extent to which its business operations and financial performance for the year 2022 will be affected."

Jinko, Tongwei, GCL, Trina Solar and JYT have production bases in Sichuan.

Editor's note: What is happening in China? Everyone knows about the "silicon shortage" due to high demand, which comes from organising the shortage by placing orders from users to saturate production capacity: buying marginal quantities leads to price increases.

There was energy rationing last September-October. Now there is the drastic decrease in the level of the rivers, which reduces the hydroelectric production capacity. Each time, there is a price increase on photovoltaic products!
