New candidate for the construction of an electrolyser

The Dutch energy company VoltH2 is planning to deploy a 25 MW electrolyser powered by renewable energies in the North Sea port. The green hydrogen plant would be linked to storage facilities,

supply and distribution. The facility will have an annual production capacity of approximately 3,600 tons. The project is expected to be expanded to 100 MW at a later stage and this capacity could increase to 14,400 tonnes per year. The investment for the first phase is set at €35 million, rising to more than €100 million. No commissioning date has been announced.

VoltH2 added that it was now in talks with potential buyers of green electricity and hoped to secure long-term supply agreements.

Editor's note It's time to get in on the ground floor for those planning water electrolysis and hydrogen production projects. This does not mean that the project will go ahead... Evidence of this can be seen in the absence of a commissioning date for the installation and the absence of any indication as to who will finance or manage the project.
