A new chalcogenide perovskite

While scientists are trying to overcome the disadvantages of halide perovskites, researchers at the University of Buffalo are trying to find a solution to the problem.

(New York State) have created a new material, a chalcogenide perovskite based on barium and zirconium sulphide (BaZrS3). This new material would have very high light absorption, good load carrying capacity, would be abundant, non-toxic, and more stable.

This new material still needs to be studied to find out its characteristics.
