New lowest kWh contract in the United States
A few days ago, the lowest purchase contract in the United States was concluded with the Central Arizona project ($0.02499 per kWh). This agreement was barely signed when the company
NV Energy in Nevada has applied to the public authorities to approve the project to install 1,001 MW of solar energy with a 100 MW/400 MWh energy storage system. If approved, Sempra Renewables' 250 MW Copper Mountain Solar 5 project at $0.02155 per kWh would be (temporarily) the cheapest. It includes an annual price increase clause of 2.5% over the 25-year contract.
