Solar roof auctions in India have received either very low prices or no bids at all.

Auctions for solar roofs in India have received either very low prices or no bids at all. A rate of 3 rupees/kWh ($0.045) has been offered in some states and 6.2 rupees in Punjab, while construction costs are 74,950 rupees per kW in Andaman State and the Nicobar Islands. The lowest prices have been offered in states where subsidies are as high as 70%.
India plans to install 700 MW of solar roofs this year and has just passed the threshold of 1 GW installed.
