China to install 217 GW of photovoltaic power by 2023

China to install 217 GW of photovoltaic power by 2023 and has increased its installations

by 148% over 2022, according to China's National Energy Administration. In December 2023 alone, new installations totalled 53 GW (up 144% on December 2022).

PV power plants and distributed PV systems were increased by 82.7 GW and 44.9 GW respectively last year.
