Sharp increase in solar energy in the US energy mix in two years

The US Energy Information Administration (EIA) estimates that solar energy will account for 5.6% of the US energy mix by 2020.

by the end of 2024, rising to 7% by the end of 2025. This compares with 4% in 2023, suggesting that solar deployment in the wider US energy mix is growing. By 2025, solar will overtake hydro's contribution
