17 PPAs in Europe in September, with a slight fall in prices
Developers signed 17 long-term power purchase agreements (PPAs) in Europe in September, including 14 involving solar projects alone. This brings the total number of PPAs for the year to 182, up sharply.
compared with 116 during the same period in 2022, according to Swiss-based Pexapark.
The average price of PPAs fell by 1.8% compared with August. This price has followed the fall in European gas prices, as stocks for the winter are 96% full. The greater availability of the French nuclear network has eased concerns about the coming winter.
