In brief R&D: flexible perovskite solar cell; 70% lithium recycling

Italian researchers have produced a flexible perovskite solar cell coated with a blade. It achieves an efficiency of 14.1%.

The German research institute KIT (Karlsruhe Institute of Technology) has developed a recycling process that can recover up to 70% of the lithium in batteries without the use of corrosive chemicals, high temperatures or pre-sorting of materials. The method "enables low-cost, energy-efficient and environmentally friendly recycling of all types of lithium-ion batteries."
