Iberdrola in 2022: 10% growth

By 2022, Spain's Iberdrola has increased its EBITDA by 10% to €13.2 billion. Net profit up

by 12% to 4.34 billion euros in 2022, thanks to strong performances in Brazil and the United States. This offset the impact of the energy crisis in the EU.

Investments reached €10.7 billion last year, an increase of 13% year-on-year, with 90% allocated to networks and renewable energies. At the end of 2022, Iberdrola had 19.8 GW of installed renewable energy capacity (solar and wind) in Spain (up 3% on 2021).

For 2023, the company is aiming for net profit growth of between 8% and 10%, or in single figures if the new Spanish income tax is taken into account.
