Germany encourages rooftop solar installations

Germany has increased the feed-in tariff for rooftop solar and wind power, in a bid to boost installations.

The new price for energy produced by rooftop solar systems will be

0.1125/kWh, which, according to the government agency, takes into account the increased costs of building and operating systems, and the rise in interest rates for financing solar projects.
