US PV manufacturers benefit from investigation into PV imports

The US Department of Commerce's investigation into suspected dumping and circumvention by Thai, Vietnamese, Malaysian and Cambodian producers is making the fortunes of American and Canadian panel manufacturers.

As a result, Canada's Helienne is swamped with orders, with a full order book until the end of 2023, since it does not source from any of these countries. The company, which has a production capacity of 660 MW, plans to increase this to 900 MW next year, and intends to increase this by a further 300 to 400 MW when the first notice from the US Department of Energy is received in August.
