Chinese renewable energy group Envision to manufacture batteries
near the Renault factory in Douai (Nord). It will invest €2 billion there and supply Renault. This is the second gigafactory after the Stellantis one (Peugeot and TotalEnergies groups)

India will host a new 1 GWh lithium-ion battery factory in Pune in the state of Maharashtra. It will have an operational capacity of 1 GWh and will be commissioned in mid-2022, increasing to 5 GWh by 2024

Australia's only panel manufacturer, Tindo Solar, has just received A$1m in government funding to install a new factory and upgrade to the M10 format. This plant will have a capacity of 150 MW and will be operational in the first quarter of 2022. It will produce a 550W panel with 144 cells
