Acquisition of plants by BP and contracting of its subsidiary Lightsource BP

BP acquires 9 GW of solar projects

in the United States for $220 million. This will increase its renewable energy portfolio from 14 GW to 23 GW. The group wants to reach a portfolio of 50 GW by 2030.

Lightsource BP has won 40% of the Greek auction, or 640 MWp, which the company will develop with a Greek partner

The announcement comes days after the company entered into a co-development partnership in Portugal for five plants with a combined capacity of 1.3 GWp. The company now has a pipeline of 20 GW of solar projects worldwide.
