Little solar energy allocated in Italy. Solar energy competes with wind power
In the 3rd auction in Italy, only 95 MW were allocated to solar (with a lowest price of €64 per MWh) ;
281 MW were generated by wind power (with a lowest price of €66.85 per MWh)

Editor's note The small volume attributed to solar energy compared to wind power confirms the lack of success of the 2nd auction. It should be noted that the best solar bid had a lower price than that of wind energy.
