Having reliable data on the history of construction to reduce the cost of credit.
The American KWh Analytics estimates that if it can provide reliable data on 70,000 solar projects, it will be able to provide insurance companies with information to insure projects and reduce the cost of borrowing for construction. While big names such as SolarCity have performance guarantees because of their size and track record, smaller solar developers face high capital costs due to their lack of brand awareness.

The Nasdaq gives both companies until the end of August to present their accounts, failing which they will be delisted, which would lead to further difficulties for shareholders.
