RE production increased by 9% in 2018 in the United States
Net electricity generation in the United States increased by 4% in 2018. This is the result of an increase
of 9% of renewable energies (excluding hydroelectricity) and 13% of gas-fired energy production. Coal-fired power generation decreased further in 2018 (-5%), while hydropower production decreased by 3% and nuclear production remained stable.
