Top ten panel suppliers in 2018 according to PV Tech
PV Tech has compiled a list of the top ten panel suppliers in 2018, based on the volume of panels shipped under their own brand name (in MWp-dc).
In 2018, some manufacturers suffered in the second half of the year, especially those who do not have access to foreign markets. Establish deliveries only

Hanwha Q Cells has been downgraded, suffering the effects of US tariffs and the modernisation of its production lines in China.
Canadian Solar had set less ambitious targets for the year, preferring to use its panels for power plant construction.
Talesun is new to this list. The company was one of the first to focus on non-domestic activities.
First Solar is the only non-Chinese company that does not produce silicon panels.
For 2019, there should not be much disruption in the ranking. With one or two exceptions, it will be the same companies

Editor's note A comparison between the rankings of China's PV InfoLink and PV Tech shows many differences in the rankings of the leading manufacturers and there is one important difference: in the PV Tech ranking, the name First Solar appears, whereas PV InfoLink only mentions Chinese producers.
One of the reasons for these differences is that the manufacturers have not yet published their production and sales for 2018. Commentators are therefore forced to assume their activity.
