Strong increase in CSPE in 2019

On 16 July 2018, the French Energy Regulatory Commission (CRE) published its assessment of public energy service charges for 2019. These charges are intended to cover the public service missions performed mainly by the incumbent operator EDF - namely the purchase of electricity from renewable sources at a subsidised price and tariff equalisation in the French overseas departments and territories.
