Total and Direct Energy continued
Total's acquisition of French alternative electricity operator Direct Energie should enable it to generate between €250 and €300 million in synergies, according to the oil group. The operation will cost it €1.4 billion and €2.4 billion with the company's debt.
If Total wants to acquire Direct Energie, it is to add its 0.5 million subscribers in January 2018 to Direct Energie's 2.6 million subscribers and to reach 3.5 million by the end of 2018 and acquire the n°3 position in France.
