500 MW of large battery storage installed in the United States in 2015-2017
The US Department of Energy (EIA) estimates that 500 MW of large battery storage has been deployed over the last three years in the United States, which constitutes
an important leap from the past. The vast majority of batteries use lithium-ion technology.
These figures do not include batteries installed in residential users and commercial or industrial enterprises (behind the meter).
