New world price record expected on Saudi Arabian tender

The Saudi Renewable Energy Development Office (REPDO) has launched a tender for 700 MW (400 MW wind and 300 MW solar). The lowest bid

is that of the Masdar consortium (United Arab Emirates) and EDF, which is offering $0.0178/kWh for 25 years. The second highest bidder is ACWA, which is offering $0.0236/kWh.
