JA Solar launches the construction of two factories in Vietnam (wafers and cells)
On November 29th, JA Solar announces the construction of a wafer factory in Vietnam with a capacity of 1.5 GW. It will be completed within three years. It will cost $280 million.
On November 26th, JA Solar starts the construction of the first phase of a $320 million cell manufacturing plant in Vietnam in a $1 billion envelope.
Within three years, industrial integration will be achieved to produce without American or European customs duties.
JA Solar manufactures cells in Malaysia with a capacity of nearly 1 GW.
