Daimler to invest more than a billion euros in various lithium-ion battery production plants
The German automobile group Daimler is going to invest more than a billion euros in various lithium-ion battery production plants. This announcement comes at a time when its specialised subsidiary (Deutsche Accumotive) is launching the construction of a second factory at Kamenz (Germany). This plant will begin production in mid-2018, while the first plant started up in 2012 and produces stationary batteries. No indication of production capacity is mentioned.
