Another residential storage system offer, Blue Planet Energy's Blue Ion Continuum
Another offer of storage systems is marketed by the American developer of Tetris, the Blue Ion Continuum, from the company Blue Planet Energy. Its designer sought to integrate the battery into the home. The basic configuration starts with 8 kWh of storage (6.4 kWh for the Tesla Powerwall) with modularity for expansion. Its price is $12,950 plus installation costs, which is more than the Powerwall, but its designer indicates that the cost of one cycle is lower due to the longer life of the Sony battery's lithium-iron system compared to the Tesla which runs on lithium-cobalt-manganese.
The company is also launching a 60 kWh for commercial use as well as a 1 megawatt-hour battery for power plants.
