European Commission withdraws five more Chinese companies from the China-Europe agreement

The European Commission is withdrawing five other Chinese companies from the China-Europe agreement: Lerri Solar, DelSolar, CNPV, Motech and Xi'An Longi. These companies will now have to pay customs duties. The Taiwanese Motech and DelSolar, which have manufacturing units in China, present the risk that the products arriving in Europe have been manufactured in China. On the other hand, manufacturing carried out in Taiwan is not concerned. Only 26 manufacturers of photovoltaic cells with production capacities in Taiwan and Malaysia have now received an exemption from anti-circumvention duties.
