Europe launches auctions to install electrolysers

The auction launched by the European Union for 8.5 GW of electrolyser capacity attracted 132 bids. This electrolyser capacity could produce

8.8 million tonnes of renewable hydrogen over a decade. The bids will now be examined, and those selected will be notified by May. Subsidies will be awarded by November. The projects should be operational within five years.
