Qair and Airbus join forces to develop the aviation fuel industry
Qair and Airbus are joining forces to develop the hydrogen-based sustainable aviation fuel industry in Occitanie. The partnership involves identifying commercial opportunities and sharing technical and economic data with a view to developing a production unit.

Qair is contributing to the deployment of a hydrogen infrastructure for aviation and the development of a genuine ecosystem for sustainable aviation fuels, particularly in the Occitanie region. The partners are committed to working together to develop an e-SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel) production unit.
Hydrogen has been identified as one of the most promising options for decarbonising the aviation sector.The advantage of hydrogen is that it can be used either directly for propulsion and energy production on board aircraft, or indirectly to create synthetic fuels.
