Heat pump manufacturers don't want to be forgotten

The delay of the EU action plan on heat pumps is jeopardising a key European industry, warn 61 business leaders in a letter to the President of the European Commission. They claim that the delay threatens

7 billion of investment planned in the sector between 2022 and 2025.

Sales fell again at the end of 2023, partly due to the fall in the price of gas, which makes heat pumps less attractive financially, while the price of electricity remains high. "The sector is experiencing a double-digit decline in the last quarter of 2023 compared with 2022. "
