Wacker in 2023: further decline in silicon business

Germany's Wacker Chemie has announced a 30% drop in silicon sales over 2022 to $1.6 billion and a fall of

61% of its 2023 ebitda from 2022 to €321 million, due to lower volumes and prices for solar-grade crystalline silicon. High energy prices in Germany also had a negative impact on the company's silicon business.
