Production of organic PV panels from 2024
Following the construction of a pilot plant in 2022, Dracula Technologies, a French manufacturer of organic photovoltaic (OPV) devices for connected objects, has announced the construction of its new "Green MicroPower Factory" in Valencia,
The plant is expected to produce up to 150 million cm² of OPV devices per year, while reducing unit production costs by a factor of three. The cells will generate 45 pw/cm² under indoor lighting at 1,000 lux. The first deliveries will take place in early 2024.
