Replace the glass panels with PET panels?

The Japanese have replaced the glass in the panels with PET (polyethylene terephthalate). This makes it possible to bend the panels and insulate the cells better.

It also has excellent electrical insulation and optical transmission.

On the other hand, the PET-based panel has a current value that is 10% lower, because PET film, unlike glass, has an anti-reflective structure.
