100 MW installed on salt marshes

Compagnie Nationale du Rhône installs 100 MW of solar power on salt marshes in the south of France

CNR and Les Salins plan to build experimental PV installations

on active salt production sites, starting next year. The association will study the benefits of installing solar panels on salt production ponds. It will also assess the impact on biodiversity in saline coastal regions and on the natural course of the Rhône.

CNR, a French energy company, currently manages 4 GW of renewable energy assets.
