Limiting global warming to 1.5 degrees is still achievable
According to the International Energy Agency (IEA), the goal of limiting global warming to 1.5 degrees is still achievable, thanks to record growth in key clean energy technologies,
particularly photovoltaics and electric cars. However, the momentum must be stepped up, in particular by tripling renewable capacity and doubling energy efficiency by 2030.
On the new zero trajectory, global spending on clean energy will rise from 1,800 billion dollars in 2023 to 4,500 billion dollars a year in the early 2030s.
