European PPA contracts virtually unchanged in July
Swiss consultancy Pexapark has noted a very slight rise in European PPA prices for July. Solar power purchase agreements (PPAs) reached
960 MW with 15 transactions. Wind power was the subject of six transactions for a total of 175 MW. On average, the price of PPAs rose by 0.8% over the month to €55.30/MWh.
Poland saw the biggest price increase (+7.7%), followed by France, Germany and the Netherlands. The biggest fall in prices was recorded in Sweden, followed by Italy, Spain and the United Kingdom. France and Spain recorded the most transactions, with five new deals each.

Editor's note: Pexapark reports an average PPA price in July of €55.30 per MWh in Europe. American EdisonEnergy (Decline in PPA prices in Europe and the United States) indicates an average European price for the second quarter of €82 per MWh. The difference is considerable!
