Engie and Posco win 47-year contract

The consortium led by ENGIE and POSCO will build 5 GW of wind and solar capacity in Oman and

a storage battery. The energy will produce renewable hydrogen with a maximum capacity of 200 ktpa. This hydrogen will then be converted into ammonia, which will be exported to Korea. The contract is for 47 years: seven years of construction, followed by 40 years of operation.
