German renewable electricity prices fall 33% in one month
The "solar market value" continues to fall in Germany. This value is the average price determined by the four German transmission system operators for electricity exchanges.
from photovoltaic systems subsidised under the German Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG). The value for May, at 5.356 euro cents (5.755¢) per kilowatt-hour, is particularly significant, as it is 33% below April's level (8.002 euro cents).
At the same time, the market value of solar energy reached its lowest level since May 2021 (4.187 euro cents).
