Repsol launches into renewable energy

Spanish oil company Repsol is to develop 825 MW of solar power in Italy. In total,

the company will develop up to 1.7 GW of renewable projects in Italy. The remainder of the portfolio will consist of wind projects with a total capacity of 943 MW.

In December, Repsol acquired Asterin Industrial, which owned 7.7 GW of solar and wind power, including 4.9 GW of solar power.
