Refrigeration unit and solar dryer to save production
Fraunhofer ISE has developed a refrigeration unit and a solar dryer that could be used in African countries to preserve food.
agricultural production (vegetables, meat, fish) during transport to the place of use.
The system consists of a 15 kWp photovoltaic system on the roof, three PV inverters that feed the electricity from the roof into a three-phase grid, generated by stand-alone battery inverters, a lithium-nickel battery and an electric generator.generated by stand-alone battery inverters, and a 19.2 kWh lithium-nickel-manganese-cobalt (NMC) battery.
