Chinese companies in brief: Trina Solar, Daqo, Talesun
Trina Solar posted sales of 8.8 billion dollars (58 billion RMB) in the 3rd quarter, i.e.
+ 82% over 2021. Its panel shipments for the year reached 28.79 GW, while tracker shipments totalled 2.8 GW and energy storage shipments exceeded 300 MWh.
Daqo New Energy signed a separate silicon supply agreement in October for 432,000 tonnes of material, valued at $18 billion. Daqo plans to continue its expansion with its plant in Inner Mongolia, which is due for completion in 2023 and will increase capacity from 105,000 to 205,000 tonnes.
The Chinese Talesun and South Africa's ARTSolar have launched the operation of a 325 MW panel production unit in South Africa.
