Tesla in Q2: solar revival?
In the second quarter, Tesla posted sales of $866 million and a profit of $97 million.
The energy and storage business accounts for 5% of group sales.
Tesla has installed 106 MW of solar power, the highest volume for four years. This compares with 48 MW in thefirst quarter of 2022.
Energy storage
Energy storage deployments fell 11% year-on-year to 1.1 GWh. Tesla attributes this decline to supply difficulties with semiconductors. This shortage is having a more profound impact on its energy storage division than on the automotive sector.
