Statkraft increases its renewable energy targets for 2030
Statkraft, Europe's largest producer of renewable energy, is increasing its renewable energy targets for 2030. It wants to reach 30 GW and 2 GW of green hydrogen. To achieve this,
it plans to increase its annual growth rate from 2.5-3 GW to 4 GW by 2030. This will increase annual electricity production by almost 50% by the end of the decade to around 100 TWh, equivalent to almost three times Denmark's annual electricity consumption.
A large part of this growth will come from the development of onshore wind, solar and battery storage.
