The French government has identified 859 degraded sites for the deployment of industrial-scale solar farms.
All the sites listed are classified
in the category of derelict sites, which offers certain advantages in the calls for tenders for industrial-scale photovoltaic projects organised by the French energy regulator.

Sweden has installed 500 MW in 2021, taking its installations to 1.6 GW

Portugal is going to stop requiring environmental impact assessments for new solar projects with a capacity of less than 50 MW, in order tospeed up the deployment of photovoltaics. Other measures are being studied to decarbonise the economy as quickly as possible.

The Italian government is offering a €1.5 billion price reduction to install photovoltaic systems on the roofs of farm buildings. It hopes to deploy 375 MW of photovoltaic capacity
