Soon to be a production plant in Slovakia

Slovakian company Agora Solar a.s. is planning to build a 150 MW solar panel factory in Vranow,

in the east of the country. Production capacity could reach 500 MW by 2024. Production activities, with a 50 MW production line, are due to start in the second quarter.

The manufacturer is primarily aiming to serve niche markets. Agora Solar has deliberately chosen a production line that can be converted to other formats in a short space of time, noting that it also plans to manufacture semi-transparent glass panels for building-integrated photovoltaic (BIPV) systems.
